Very Young Planet Discovered

Astronomers announced today the discovery of a very young planet around the young star HL Tau. This planet may be only about 2,000 years old, and there appears to still be some planetary disk material surrounding it. This is the youngest planet discovered so far and studying it can be helpful in understanding planetary disks and the timing and process of planet formation. Click here for the full story.
